Dr. Omar Badrin Baharuddin, a June baby of year 1982, is a very dedicated surgeon who always wants to do the best for his patients. He is a board-certified consultant general surgeon in Columbia Asia Hospital Tebrau, Johor Bahru. He specialises in minimal access surgery with a dedication to minimise and hide surgical scars making it cosmetically pleasant. He has developed detailed scar management protocols and closure techniques to reduce the appearance of scars for his patients. His passion is providing holistic and personalised care.

Dr. Omar grew up in Kajang, Selangor. He obtained his Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery degree (M.B.B.S.) from the International Islamic University Malaysia and his Masters in Surgery from Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia.

In addition to receiving his board certification from the National Specialist Registry, he completed a five-year surgical residency at Kuala Lumpur General Hospital - the premier hospital in the country. Training at one of the top-ranked hospitals in Malaysia gave him the exposure to, and mentorship from, some of the best surgeons in the country. He has been practising since 2007 and joined Columbia Asia Hospital Tebrau in November 2019.
